    Notes that the Town will maintain the 7 acres of recreational fields and would be interested in offloading the 5 acres from the building out to Old Oyster Road. Commissioner notes the importance of maintaining the surrounding forest. The board agreed to draft a letter to David Anthony, Barnstable’s Chief Procurement Officer, expressing their interest in the property.

    Meeting included comments from the Civic Association regarding options for the site as well as a discussion of the composition of the School Committee.

    The Cotuit Kettleers expressed interest in using the school as a changing facility and equipment storage, as well as for children’s outdoor programs, which would not require significant upgrades to the building. Commissioners emphasize that their primary concern is the septic and nitrogen loading given the close proximity to downgradient well #3.

    There is a discussion of the possibility of transferring the property to the District at no cost, as well as a discussion of it being too early to form a committee focused on the school property.
